StudioRIP 3.0

StudioRIP is a computer program used in the pre-press and other industries. The function of a RIP or Raster Image Processor is to receive high level vector image data (such as Postscript, PDF, PCL, HPGL), convert it into low level raster image data (typically high resolution, halftoned monochrome bitmaps), and then output it using a raster device (imagesetter, CTP, inkjet printer, laser printer, laser gravure device etc.).

More than a RIP, StudioRIP is an expandable workflow which include many standard and optional functions and features.

• TIFF Output enables rasterized, 1-bit TIFF files to be output 
• Imposition module with built-in and customizable pre-press marks and imposition schemes 
• Trappingmodule with mitered ends, proportional traps etc 
• Ink Duct Control calculates the ink coverage for the ink ducts of the press, prints a diagram or exports a JDF file 
• Stochastic Screening with adjustable white and black dot size 
• Digital Proofing in contone or dot for dot (up to 200 lpi) with excellent color accuracy
